Rhett Walker Band Bio
The Rhett Walker Band is a Christian Southern rock band formed in 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. It consists of lead vocalist and songwriter Rhett Walker, drummer Kenny Davis and guitarist Joe Kane. Rhett started making music as a teenager when he moved with his family to Nashville. The band came to the fore when Walker garnered the attention of Essential Records as the winner of Christian songwriting contests. In July 2012, Essential released the band’s debut LP “Come to the River.” In December 2012, their song “When Mercy Found Me” was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song category. The band released a sophomore effort titled “Here’s to The Ones” in 2014, also through the Essential label.
