Robert Anthony Plant CBE was born on 20th August, 1948 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. He is a musician, singer, lyricist, artist, songwriter, and performer. Plant is best known for being the lead singer and songwriter of Led Zeppelin. Pop/rock is his musical specialty, and his style is album rock, hard rock, alternative/indie rock, neo-psychedelia, blues-rock, and rock & roll. Before fame, he was training to be an accountant but quit when he decided to join the world of music. Some of his song highlights are “Stairway to Heaven”, “Big Log”, “Tall Cool One”, “Rich Woman”, “Please Read the Letter”, “Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)”, “In the Mood”, “When the Levee Breaks”, and many more. In 2011, he was named the no. 1 Lead Singer of All Times by the Rolling Stone Magazine. In the movies, he is known for his work on “Oblivion”, “San Andreas”, “Sicario”, “The Song Remains the Same”, etc. In 2012, he won a Kenny Center Honor. Plant has a total of 18 Grammy Award Nominations, and 8 Grammy Wins.
