Roisin Murphy Bio
Roisin Murphy is a singer-songwriter and recording artist from Sheffield, England, who has been active since the ‘90s. She initially garnered attention through her work with Moloko, a dance pop duo for which she was the vocalist. They released their debut in 1995, and in 2000 released Things To Make And Do, their most commercially and critically successful album. Boosted by their hit “The Time Is Now,” the album was certified Platinum in the UK. Following the dissolution of the duo in 2003, she released her debut album Ruby Blue in 2005. Featuring jazz and pop influences, the album became her most critically successful work, and charted internationally. She has since released three more albums, most recently Take Her Up To Monto, which dropped in 2016 through Play It Again Sam Records.
