Rosanne Cash Bio

Rosanne Cash is an American country music singer-songwriter famed for her melodious voice and music that blends country sounds with pop accents. She was born to the legendary country music musician Johnny Cash on May 24, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. While she wasn’t initially interested in this line of career, she found herself drawn to music after touring with her father in 1973. She recorded her self-titled debut album in 1978 followed up by her second album Right or Wrong in 1980 which was a massive success with three Top 25 singles. During the next decade, Cash received critical acclaim with multiple hit albums. Her most famous studio albums include Rhythm & Romance (1985), King's Record Shop (1987), Interiors (1990), and The River & the Thread (2014) for which she won three Grammy awards. Throughout her stellar career, Cash has collaborated with various famous artists including Rodney Crowell, Bobby Bare, Emmylou Harris, John Stewart, Steve Earle, and Lucinda Williams.
