Rumer Bio

Rumer is the stage name of singer, author and guitarist Sarah Joyce, born on June 3, 1979 in Haripur, Afghanistan. Her musical production began in 2000, when she was part of the musical group La Honda, a punk rock group with whom she recorded the album “I See Stars” in 2001, although she released it in 2013, when she was already a recognized soloist with several platinum albums. She released her first solo album in November 2010, entitled “Seasons of My Soul”, which aired on BBC Radio 2 and gained enough acceptance to win her a contract with Atlantic Records. That same year, she joined singer Joshua Radin and musician Jools Holland on a world tour. In 2012, she released the album “Boys Don't Cry”, followed by “Into Color” in 2014. In August 2020, she released her album “Nashville Tears: The songs of Hugh Prestwood”, along with the release of the single “Deep Summer in the Deep South”.
