RY X Bio
Ry Cuming, also known by his moniker Ry X, is a singer-songwriter and musician originally from a tiny, isolated island off the coast of Australia, who now lives in Los Angeles. While still in Australia, Cuming released a couple of records, and toured with Maroon 5. His first major EP, Berlin, was produced in 2013 by DumontDumont Record Label in Sweden. His latest EP, entitled Dawn, was only recently released. Cuming has won awards in Australia for Best Pop Song, and Best New Artist.
Cuming cites his earliest musical influences as Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley. His most popular songs on YouTube, with over a million views each, are “Howling,” “Berlin,” and “Sweat.” In addition to his work as a solo artist, he is a member of two separate electronic groups – Howling (with Frank Wiedemann), and Acid (with DJ Adam Freeland, and Steve Nalepa).
