Sarah Brightman Bio

Talented singer, songwriter, and actress Sarah Brightman was born in England on August 14, 1960. Her career began in the late 1970s when she became a member of Hot Gossip, a dance group. She would go on to star in the West End theater production of Cats, and later would appear in The Phantom of the Opera. After crossing over to a classical recording artist and releasing a handful of albums, Sarah Brightman made available the most successful album of her career in 1997: Timeless/Time to Say Goodbye. The album received a Platinum or higher certification in more than 20 countries, and sold just over 1 million records in the United States.
