Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Bio
Shaivonte Aician Gilgeous-Alexander, better known as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a Canadian professional basketball player who plays as a point guard and shooting guard in the NBA. He was born in Toronto, Canada, on July 12, 1998. Shai spent his formative years playing for St. Thomas More Secondary School, Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, and the University of Kentucky, and he turned professional in 2018 when he was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Draft. He has since represented the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder, and throughout his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Shai played alongside Jodh Giddey, Aaron Wiggins, Tre Mann, Luguentz Dort, and Darius Bazley. His career highlights include NBA All-Rookie Second Team, SEC All-Freshman Team, and a silver medal with Canada at the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.
