Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus) is an American rapper and actor who was first discovered by Dr. Dre, who featured Snoop Dogg on Dre’s debut album, The Chronic (1992). The California-born rapper went on to receive seventeen Grammy Award nominations, and an American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. He also won an APRA Music Award for International Work of the Year for his performance with Katy Perry in the 2011 hit, ‘California Gurls.’ In 2003, he won a BET Award for his collaboration with Pharrell and Charlie Wilson in the song, ‘Beautiful.’ Snoop Dogg has made thirteen solo albums, eight collaboration albums, and has made numerous appearances in both film and television, most notably in 1998’s Half Baked, 2003’s Old School, 2009’s Bruno, reality television show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood (2007-2009), and One Life to Live (2008, 2010, 2013).
