Stephen John Fry is an English actor, writer, director, producer, author, and broadcaster best known for his work in film and television. He was born in London, England, on August 24, 1957. Stephen began his acting career in the early 1980s when he appeared in the TV series Alfresco, The Young Ones, and There's Nothing to Worry About. He has since been a regular on the TV series Jeeves and Wooster, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, The Magician's House, Baddiel's Syndrome, Da Mob, Absolute Power, Absolute Power, The Sandman, The Dropout, Danger Mouse, and The Great Indoors. His filmography includes The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but he is best known for starring in Alice in Wonderland alongside Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway.
