Steven Gerrard Bio

Steven George Gerrard is an English retired professional soccer player and manager best known for his time with Liverpool. He was born in Whiston, Merseyside, England, on May 30, 1980. Steven began his soccer career in 1989 when he joined the youth setup at Liverpool, and he turned professional in 1998 when he signed with Liverpool’s senior side. He went on to play for Liverpool for seventeen years, and throughout his time with the Merseyside outfit, Steven played alongside Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen, Martin Skrtel, Xabi Alonso, and Jordan Henderson. Steven made over one hundred appearances for the English national side. His career highlights include the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, Football League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Club Footballer of the Year, PFA Players' Player of the Year, and PFA Premier League Team of the Year. Steven retired after a year with LA Galaxy, and in 2017 he began his career as a manager.
