Sue Bird Bio
Suzanne Brigit Bird, better known as Sue Bird, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a point guard in the WNBA. She was born in Syosset, New York, United States, on October 16, 1980. Sue spent her formative years playing for Syosset High School, Christ the King Regional High School, and the University of Connecticut, and she turned professional in 2002 when she was selected by the Seattle Storm with the first pick in the first round of the WNBA Draft. Throughout her time with the Seattle Storm, Sue played alongside Breanna Stewart, Lauren Jackson, Jewell Loyd, and Stephanie Talbot. Sue’s career highlights include USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year, WNBA champion, WNBA All-Star, All-WNBA First Team, EuroLeague Champion, USBWA Women's National Player of the Year, and five Olympic gold medals.
