Suranne Jones is an actress, writer and producer, who was born on August 27th, 1978, in England. She has acted in soap operas and has been recognised twice as the best actress in a British soap opera for her performance as Karen McDonald on “Coronation Street.” When she was younger, she was close friends with another actor named Antony Cotton, who, like herself, had a recurring role on the British soap opera “Coronation Street.” She made her first significant stage debut in a production of “Wait Until Dark,” when she was only eight years old. She played the role of Orlando, in the stage production of “Orlando,“ along with Thomas Arnold, Richard Hipe and Tunji Kasim. Additionally, she has played recurring characters in multiple episodes of the television shows “Scott & Bailey'' and “Single Father.”
