Tempo is a Puerto Rican rapper, and was born in September 25, 1977 legally known as David Sanchez Badillo. He is also a known songwriter. He started honing his craft at an early age of 11, and went on to become a member of the group El Escuadron del Panico.
He is known for his Gold-selling albums “Game Over” and “New Game” released in 1999 and 2000 consecutively. However, he went into prison from 2002 to 2013 due to drug trafficking. During this period, he participated in the Free Tempo campaign, working together with Don Omar, Tego Calderon, his family, and other friends. It resulted to his sentence being cut down to 12 years instead of 24.
He became a frequent collaborator for Daddy Yankee, working on tracks like “Desde la Prision”.
