The Birthday Massacre Bio

The Birthday Massacre (sometimes known as TBM) is a Canadian band that was formed in 1999 in Ontario, Canada. The founding members of the group are Chibi (vocalist), Rainbow (rhythm guitarist), Michael Falcore (lead guitarist), Aslan (bass), keyboardist Dank, and percussionist O.E. The group’s original name was inspired by Clive Barker’s 1991 novel Imajica but the group rebranded to The Birthday Massacre in 2002.

The group released their debut LP Nothing & Nowhere in 2002, and the followup EP Violet landed in 2004. The group signed to the Metropolis Imprint in 2005. Their third album Walking with Strangers was released in 2007 before the group set out on a tour with Mindless Self Indulgence and Julien-K. Pins and Needles followed in 2010 and Imaginary Monsters in 2011. Hide and Seek was released in 2012 and it got some success on the charts. Their sixth album Superstition was crowdfunded by their fans and was released in 2014.
