The LaFontaines is a Scottish rap-rock band formed in 2008 in Motherwell, near Glasgow. It originally consisted of Kerr Okan (vocals), Iain Findlay, and Darren McCaughey (guitars), Anna Smith (bass, later replaced by John Gerrard), and Jamie Keenan (drums). In 2015, the band issued its debut full-length album “Class”, which became a #10 on the Scottish Albums chart. Shortly after, LaFontaines sold out a show in the Barrowlands venue. Guitarist Findlay left the band in 2016 and was replaced by Neil Mullholland. A year later “Common Problem” came out with the A Wolf at Your Door label. The band then underwent some lineup changes, and in 2018 it became a trio. The band reached their first U.K. Top 40 album with its third effort, 2019’s “Junior” with So Recordings.
