The Offspring Bio
The Offspring is a punk band formed in 1984. in Huntington Beach, California by frontman Dexter Holland, bassist Greg Kriesel, guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman, and drummer Ron Welty (later replaced by Pete Parada). The band has sold over 34 million album copies since their commercially successful and independently-released “Smash” (1994). In 1995 they recorded a song for the Batman Forever movie soundtrack. The single “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” was the big hit for their 2000 album “Americana”, followed by two more commercially revered LP’s: “Ixnay on the Hombre” and “Conspiracy of One”, three albums that reached a platinum certificate in sales. In 2005 the band released the greatest hits album and released the single “Can’t Repeat”. 2012 saw the arrival of the full-length issue “Days Go By”.
