Thelma Amelina Plumbe is an Australian singer and songwriter and goes by the name Thelma Plum professionally. She was born on 21 December 1994, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She's proud of her aboriginal heritage which is a big part of her musical career and personal life. She wrote her first song when she was only 15 years old. Thelma graduated from Music Industry College and by next year in 2012, she had the distinct honor of becoming Triple J Uneartheds winner for Best Indigenous Artist. In 2019, Thelma released her debut album “Better in Blak” that peaked number 4 on the ARIA Charts. The legend Paul McCartney has writing credits for one of her songs in the album. She was nominated for the Deadly Award and an Unearthed J Award as the Most Promising New Talent in Music.
