Thomas Gold, born Frank Thomas Knebel-Janssen, is a German electronic house music DJ and producer who was born on August 9, 1981, in Berlin. He began getting interested in music at just 7 years old when he decided to learn how to play the electronic organ. He jumped to fame in 2008 with a remixed version of the Delerium’s classic “Silence” and won a Beatport Music Award for “Best Progressive House Song”. He began his professional career as a producer in 2009 when he collaborated with Matthias Menck in the song “Everybody Be Somebody”. By 2011 he was already performing in big stages like Masquerade Motel in Miami alongside Swedish House Mafia, Tomorrowland, and in renowned clubs like Space Miami and Pacha NYC. In 2012 he ranked no. 82 on a poll done by the magazine DJmag.
