Born in Cypress, California on December 30, 1975, Tiger Woods won the U.S. Masters which was held in Augusta when he was just 21 years old. He was also the first African American who bagged the title. He earned the PGA Player of the Year ten times and won 13 majors. As an amateur golfer, Woods was a prodigy. He opted to become a professional golfer in 1996, and he gained popularity when he won in Augusta in 1997 by scoring 270. He also appeared in the British Open in the same year. He had five wins in 2003 including the Western Open and the Buick Invitational. In 2005, he won six championships. In 2007, he won the Tour Championship and the BMW Championship. In 2018, Woods made it back to the Top 50 in the golf ranking in the world.
