Tiger Woods, born Eldrick Woods, is an American professional golfer and one of the greatest golfers of all time. After joining the professional ranks in 1996 at the age of 20, Woods went on to win the 1997 Masters in record-breaking fashion and was ranked number one in the world by June 1997. Woods dominated the 2000s, spending a total of 545 weeks as number one in the world. He’s won a total of 14 major championships, the second most ever, most notably four Masters Championships. Woods has also won the PGA Player of the Year Award a record eleven times and was the youngest golfer ever to complete a career Grand Slam.
