Timothy Williams Westwood, popular known as Tim Westwood, is a household name.
The veteran has made a name for himself in the Music and radio industry all over the world. The Briton was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk, the UK, on the 3rd of October, 1957.
The DJ and radio presenter had his education at Norwich school. Tim started his career by working with several radio stations like LWR, Capital FM in the 80s.
He got into the limelight when he featured in a popular British documentary titled ‘Bad meaning good.
Tim hosted the popular ‘pimp my ride’’ for three consecutive seasons (2005-2007); the show happens to be the most successful MTV UK show ever and the second highest in the books of MTV Europe.
As a giant that he is, he hosted the first UK rap show on BBC Radio 1. The 1994 show made him work with the BIG and Puff Daddy.
In 2013, he moved to Capital Radio after spending over 20 years with BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1 Extra.
Tim is a recipient of several awards; he won the best radio DJ at the MOBO black awards on numerous occasions. He also carted the John Peel award in 2010 for his numerous contributions to the music world.
