Tobias Jesso Jr. Bio

Tobias MacDonald Jesso Jr. is a pop instrumentalist and a songwriter born in Vancouver in 1985. He started his songwriting career in Los Angeles after quitting the Vancouver-based band Sessions. In 2012 he moved back to Vancouver and wrote his first solo single “Just a Dream”, and released it on social media. A number of singles recorded with the aid of Girls member Chet White, and producers Patrick Carney and Ariel Rechtshaid, went out in the following years landing Jesso a guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. One of these singles, “How Could You Babe” attracted the attention of pop singer Adele, who directed her Twitter audience to the artist. In 2015 Jesso released his full-length debut Goon.
