Tom Watson Bio
Tom Watson is an American professional golfer, born on September 4, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was one of the leading golfers in the world in the 70s and 80s, with eight major championship wins, including one US Open title. He was a six-time PGA Player of the Year. Tom graduated from psychology at Stanford University, mentored by Byron Nelson, he won his first PGA event in 1974. He fell one major win short of entering the grand slam winners list like Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. He competed again in the 2009 Open Championship, at almost 60 years old, but lost to Stewart Cink in the playoff. The American golfer has also captained the US Team in 1993 in England and once again in 2014 in Scotland.
