Tristan Prettyman Bio

Tristan Prettyman is an American singer/songwriter from San Diego, California. Born in 1982, she was a surfer and a model before starting a career in music. She gained notoriety in 2001 through a song listed on the soundtrack to Shelter, a surf film by Chris Malloy. Subsequently, she toured California with acts like Jason Mraz and G. Love & Special Sauce. In 2003 she released an independent EP titled “Love” and went on to Virgin Records for her major-label debut “Twentythree” in 2005, with contributions by Mraz and Jesse Harris from Norah Jones backing band. This album peaked at 24 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers. In 2008 she released a follow-up full-length album by the name “Hello...x”, and four years later she also issued “Cedar + Gold”.
