Troy Polamalu Bio

A former American footballer, Troy Aumua Polamalu started his career by playing college football for the University of Southern California. Polamalu had a long career of twelve years, from 2003 to 2014, the whole of which he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team playing in the National Football League (NFL) of America. He played in the position of Strong Safety and was elected by the Pittsburgh Steelers during the first round of the National Football League Draft of the year 2003. Troy played for the Steelers in the Super Bowl tournament several times, out of which, the Steelers won the game twice. Polamalu won the award of Pro Bowler eight times, was selected as the All-Pro for six times, and was awarded as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. He retired in 2014 and in 2018, was declared the Head of Player Relations in the Alliance of American Football. Troy was included in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2020.
