Volbeat Bio
Volbeat is a band from Copenhagen, Denmark formed in 2001 and made up of Michael Poulsen, Thomas Bredahl, Anders Kjølholm, and Jon Larsen. Poulsen used to be a member of a popular metal band in the country Dominus. They released Volbeat, their demo, in 2002 which was not met with much success. They finally hit the right tone with their audience with the release of their second demo Beat the Meat. The group appeared in the Live Contest, which helped them make a better name.
They eventually released The Strength/The Sound/The Songs through Rebel Monster which won the Best Album during the 2005 Danish Metal Musik Awards. Their second album Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil debuted at No. 1 in the country. Their next album Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood during the next year debuted at No. 1 again. The group released the live album Let’s Boogie in 2018.
