Wes Studi Bio

Wes Studi is an actor who was born on December 17th, 1947, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Before he received his diploma, he was proficient in the Cherokee language but not in English. However, this Cherokee actor became quite well known among people as a result of his performance as a Native American. Movie fans from all around the world applauded his performance in the film “Geronimo: An American Legend.” Later on, he was in “Kings” as well as the movie “Avatar”. "The Last of the Mohicans" was one of the films in which he appeared opposite Russell Means. The first recognition he received came with the success of “Dances with the Wolves.” Moreover, he is also well-known in the music industry as a musician who has a strong enthusiasm for the business.
