WhoMadeWho Bio

WhoMadeWho is a musical group formed in 2003 in Copenhagen, including the bassist/vocalist Tomas Hoffding, the guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg and the drummer Tomas Barfod as members. The label Gomma signed the trio and in 2004, they began with the Two Covers for Your Party single, presenting their versions of “Satisfaction” by Benny Benassi and “Flat Beat” by Mr.Oizo. They followed with the “Happy Girl” and more singles came before the release of their self-titled album in October 2005. The trio was praised for their music and had their song “Space for Rent” covered by Josh Homme of the Queens of the Stone Age. In 2006, they issued a mini-album titled Green Versions, after which they spent the next few years touring the world. In 2009, their second album The Plot came featuring artists such as Discodeine, Hot Chip, Noze, and DJ Koze, followed by the albums Knee Deep in 2011 and Brighter in 2012. In the 2010s, the band had worked on various mix albums and collaborated with the label Get Physical. Their latest release “Synchronicity” came in the 2020s.
