Wunmi Mosaku Bio

Wunmi Mosaku is a British-Nigerian actress who was born on July 31st, 1986, in Zaria. She moved from Zaria to Manchester, where she attended Trinity Church of England High School for her secondary education after completing elementary and middle school in Zaria. She holds a dual citizenship. Mosaku has been a member of the Manchester choir for a little more than 11 years since she was a child. Owing to her performance as Joy in the miniseries “Moses Jones,” she was presented the award for Best Actress in a Miniseries at the Roma Fiction Festival. She appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including “Philomena,” which won multiple awards. In addition, she had a role in the film “Fantastic Beasts” and “Where to Find Them,” which was released in 2016.
