Yellowcard Bio

Yellowcard is an American rock band formed in 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida. The band is best known for its songs “Only One,” Ocean Avenue,” and “Lights and Sounds.” The band name came from a phrase the original band members used while in high school. The band started with the members Ben Dobson on vocals, Todd Clary on vocals and guitar, Ben Harper on guitar, Warren Cooke on bass guitar, and Longineu Parsons III on drums. The current members are Ryan Key on lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and piano, Sean Mackin on backing vocals and violin, Ryan Mendez on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Josh Portman on backing vocals and bass guitar. They released their debut album in 1997 titled Midget Tossing and have since released nine more albums, including Where We Stand, One for the Kids, Ocean Avenue, Lights and Sounds, Paper Walls, When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes, Southern Air, Lift a Sail, and their last album Yellowcard. Throughout their 18 years together they toured around the United States and internationally. They played their final show at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California on March 25, 2017.
