Isabelle de Truchis de Varennes (born April 18, 1964 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France) is a French model, actress, pop singer, and songwriter, renowned for her debut single, "Sucré Sale."
Before launching her music career, Zazie studied as a foreign languages student. She also worked as a model on the side to pay for her studies. However, in 1992, everything changed when she released her first album 'Je, tu(e), ils'.
Zazie waited three years before dropping another album titled 'Zen' (1995). She waited three more years to drop her next body of work titled, 'Made in love' (1998). The album was co-produced by Ali Staton, Pierre Jaconelli, and Zazie.
She released a live album, 'Made in live' in 1999. Zazie has written songs for other artists including Johnny Hallyday, Pascal Obispo, and Jane Birkin. Every year, she appears in concerts with 'Les Enfoirés' to raise some money for the homeless. She also appears in 'Sol en si' to raise funds against AIDS. Zazie made her movie debut in the 1998 film titled, Don't Let Me Die on a Sunday. In 2002, Zazie received the Victoires de la Musique award for Best Female Artist of the Year. In 2007, Zazie released her sixth studio album, titled "Totem".
