Zeljko Obradovic Bio

Željko Obradović is a distinguished figure in the realm of basketball, renowned as a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He's widely regarded as one of the greatest European basketball coaches of all time. He was born in Čačak, Serbia, on March 9, 1960.

As a player, Obradović competed for various Yugoslav clubs, winning several national championships. However, it's his coaching career where he truly made his mark. Obradović's coaching career began in the late 1980s, and he quickly gained recognition for his tactical prowess and ability to lead teams to success. He has coached numerous European clubs, most notably Panathinaikos, where he achieved significant success, including multiple EuroLeague titles.

Obradović has won a remarkable nine EuroLeague titles, solidifying his reputation as the winningest coach in EuroLeague history. These victories came during his stints with different clubs, including Partizan Belgrade, Real Madrid, Panathinaikos, and Fenerbahçe. His coaching prowess has also been evident in continental competitions outside of the EuroLeague, with victories in competitions such as the FIBA Saporta Cup and FIBA Korać Cup.
