Alfie Boe Bio
Alfie Boe is an English singer and actor born in Blackpool, England on September 29, 1973. He is best known for his performances in the Queen’s Theater’s productions of the musical Les Misérables in London. He started singing at a young age and performed his first public performance at 14 years old at Fleetwood Marine Hall. While working as an apprentice mechanic he would sing to his co-workers to pass the time and was overheard by someone in the music industry. They suggested he should audition for the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company in London and his audition was successful. He has had roles in productions like La Bohéme, Kismet, Les Misérables, Carousel, The Great British Musical – The Famous and the Future among others. In 2006 he released his first album Classic FM presents Alfie Boe and has continued to release albums like Franz Lehar: Love was a Dream, Bring Him Home, Alfie, Storyteller, Trust, Serenata, Together Again, and As Time Goes By. In 2003 he won a Tony Award for Excellence in Theater and in 2011 he won a Silver Clef Award in the classical category.
