Basil Thampi is an Indian professional cricketer who plays as a bowler in the Indian Premier League. He was born in Ernakulam, Kerala, India, on September 11, 1993. Basil began his professional cricket career in 2015 with Kerala, and he made his Indian Premier League debut in 2107 with the Gujarat Lions. Basil has since represented the Mumbai Indians and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and throughout his time with the Mumbai Indians, he played alongside Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Markande, Hardik Pandya, and Nathan Coulter-Nile.
