Candace Parker is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks. During the off-season, Parker plays for the Euroleague UMMC Ekaterinburg Club in Russia. In 2008, she recorded the best rookie debut in league history with thirty-four points, twelve rebounds, and eight assists. She earned the 2008 WNBA Most Valuable Player Award and the league's Rookie of the Year Award. Parker is best-known for being the first woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game and the first woman to dunk twice in a college game. Parker most often is a forward, but also plays center and guard. In 2009, she won a Teen Choice Award for Favorite Female Athlete, and has guest starred on Nickelodeon’s shows, Figure It Out, and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn.
