Jordan Hasay Bio

Jordan Melissa Hasay, better known as Jordan Hasay, is an American distance runner who was born on September 21, 1991, in Fontana, California. When she was in high school, she was elected unanimously as the 2008 Girls High School Athlete of the Year by the voting panel at Track and Field News. She went to college at the University of Oregon and competed for the school team. As a professional runner, she signed with Nike, Inc. in 2013, and joined the Nike Oregon Project with coach Alberto Salazar. She qualified for the 10,000 meters race at the World Championships but placed twelfth. The following year, she became the second-rated 10,000 meters woman to qualify for the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, and in 2015, she won a silver medal in the two-mile race and had to withdraw from the 10,000 meters race because of plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in her foot. In 2019, she placed third in the Boston marathon.
